The D1105 is the top of Kubota's 05 Series 3 cylinder lineup and one of the most widely OEM specified compact industrial engines in the global market. The engine uses Kubota's TVCR (Three Vortex Combustion System), refined to produce clean exhaust with no visible smoke during start up, hard acceleration, and sudden load changes. Variants compliant with EPA Tier 4, EU Stage V, and China IV emissions are all in current production, with the D1105-K electronically controlled and D1105-E4-BG2 generator package representing the most recent product additions. The D1105 P2 Hybrid pairs the same base engine with a parallel hybrid electric system, used on emerging zero emission worksite applications where engine off operation is required.
In the Kubota equipment lineup, the D1105 powers the BX Series sub compact tractors, the smaller F Series front mowers, the ZD Series zero turn mowers, and several legacy compact construction machines. Outside Kubota, the D1105 is in nearly every category of compact industrial equipment built in the last 20 years: skid loaders, scissor lifts, light towers, generators, welders, sweepers, fire pumps, wood chippers, and air compressors.
