The F Series front mount mowers are Kubota's professional grade out front diesel mowers. They are distinct from the company's residential lawn tractor and zero turn lineups in three ways: the deck is mounted at the front rather than mid mount or rear, the engine is a Kubota three cylinder diesel rather than gasoline, and the chassis is built for daily commercial duty cycles. The F2560E ran from 1997 to 2005 with the 25 horsepower 1.122 liter three cylinder Kubota diesel and was offered with both 60 inch and 72 inch front mount decks. The F2680E succeeded the F2560 in 2008 and ran through 2013, also offered with 60 inch or 72 inch decks at 25.5 horsepower from a 1.124 liter Kubota three cylinder diesel. The F2880 and F2880E generations sat above those at 28 horsepower.
