It features a retractable undercarriage that narrows to 700mm width for door-width access and expands to a more stable 860mm for normal working stance. The K008-5 succeeded the K008-3 with updated controls and refreshed cab while retaining the Kubota Z482 era 2-cylinder mechanical injection diesel engine that has been the heart of the K008 micro excavator family across multiple generations. Customers commonly find K008-5 machines in residential landscaping, plumbing, indoor demolition, and tight-access utility work where larger 1.5 to 2 ton mini excavators cannot fit.
