Kubota organizes its compact excavator lineup into KX series conventional tail swing machines and U series minimum (or zero) tail swing machines, with model designations indicating the operating weight class. The legacy KX121-3 and KX161-3 belong to the 3 Series. The U35 is a minimum tail swing machine.
Serial number range matters on this category. Several Kubota glass and hydraulic part numbers fit only specific S/N ranges of a given model. For example, our part RD45119180 (Shim) fits SSV75 / SSV75C / SSV75P / SSV75PC at S/N 50001+ only, and our part V0631-51880 (Fuel Filter) fits SSV75 family at S/N 20001-49999 and 50001+ but not the earlier S/N 10001-19999. The body of each product page lists the serial number constraint where one applies. The model code on the data plate inside the cab door post is the authoritative reference. Common Tier 4 / Stage IV upgrades on KX 4 Series machines used different fuel injection components than the older Tier 3 / Stage IIIA equivalents on the 3 Series, so verify your machine's emissions tier before ordering fuel system parts.
Cab glass is a common Kubota mini excavator replacement. RC411 series parts predominantly fit KX121-3 and KX161-3 family machines. RD451 series parts cover KX033-4, KX040-4, U35-4, U55-4 family machines.
