The V2403 is the largest displacement engine in Kubota's 03 Series, a family that has become an industry standard for compact industrial machine power across the 50 to 75 horsepower range. The base mechanical injection variant V2403-M-T-E3B produces 59.0 HP at 2700 rpm, the common rail turbo V2403-CR-T-E4B steps up to 65.2 HP, and the V2403-CR-TE4BG generator package produces 44.9 HP standby / 40.2 HP continuous at 1800 rpm for stationary power applications. The full V2403 family currently in production covers EPA Tier 4 Final and EU Stage V emissions on the common rail variants, with earlier Tier 2 / Tier 3 / interim Tier 4 mechanical variants still widely deployed in legacy machines.
The V2403 powers a long list of Kubota equipment including the M Series utility tractors, the larger MX Series compact tractors, the KX121-3 / KX161-3 / KX057-4 mini excavators, the SVL75-3 compact track loader, and several SSV skid steer applications. Outside Kubota, the V2403 is used by JLG aerial lifts, Skyjack scissor lifts, Genie boom lifts, Multiquip generators, Wacker Neuson light towers, Atlas Copco compressors, and dozens of other OEM industrial equipment manufacturers. This cross OEM presence is why a single V2403 fuel filter or oil filter can fit dozens of different end machines from many different brands.
Fuel system service is the largest order category for the V2403. Fuel Filter Cartridge RB10151281 (and the alternate revisions RB101-51282 and RB101-51280) is the primary fuel filter, with the Tier 4 water separator HHV00-51920, 1K011-43060, and Z14894369 covering common rail emissions variants. In Line Fuel Filter 1258143011 covers the older mechanical injection V2403-M-E3B variant secondary filter. Fuel Filter 15831-43380 fits the Tier 4 final M Series and MX tractor applications.
Engine Oil Filter 1C02032433 is the spin on lube filter that fits the V2403 across its production run. Air filtration uses a range of canister sizes depending on the OEM application housing the engine, with the most common cross references being the same canister filters listed on the Kubota Air Filters page. Engine internal hardware (head cover gaskets, valve cover gaskets, gear rings, oil gauge plugs) covers top end work as the older V2403-M units approach the end of their first major service cycle.
