Valve Fitment and Compatibility

Valves match on three things at once: port size and thread, spool or poppet function, and coil voltage where the valve is electrically actuated. The OEM number carries all three, which is why valve ordering rewards precision more than most categories. Common replacements include the bypass valve replacing OEM 7302578, the Bob-Tach power valve replacing OEM 7021638, and the solenoid valves replacing OEM 7232752, 7232742, and 6672863.

Note that solenoid valves and solenoid coils are separate parts. A valve that clicks but does not shift often needs the valve body, while a valve that does nothing at all is frequently just a failed coil, which is the cheaper fix worth testing first.

Types of Replacement Valves

Solenoid valves direct hydraulic flow electrically and drive auxiliary circuits, attachment functions, and diverter duties. Bypass valves protect circuits by relieving pressure past a component, and a failed one shows up as a system that will not build pressure. Bob-Tach power valves actuate the powered attachment mounting system, so a machine that will not lock or release an attachment usually starts its diagnosis here.

Sluggish attachment function, a circuit that works cold and fades hot, and audible chatter under load are the usual valve symptoms. Confirm the coil and the electrical feed before condemning a valve body, since the wiring is free to check.
