Parts Compatible with the Kubota KX41-2 Mini Excavator

The KX41-2 is the second generation 1.5 ton class entry in Kubota's K Series mini excavator family, a refresh of the original KX41 with updated cab and operator controls. It produced from the late 1990s through the early 2000s before being replaced by the KX41-3 third generation. The KX41-2 uses the D905 era 3-cylinder mechanical injection diesel engine and direct-drive hydraulic main pump. Customers commonly find KX41-2 machines still in fleet service in landscaping, rental, and small-contractor applications.

The KX41-2 shares many service parts with the KX61-2 (the 2.5 ton sibling) and with the original KX41 (the previous generation, which carries the same engine and many service parts) because Kubota engineered the second generation K Series on a shared parts platform with the small displacement D905 engine.

Common Replacement Parts for the Kubota KX41-2

Fuel system service uses Fuel Filter Cartridge RB101-51282 and the alternate RB101-51280 revision as the primary fuel filter for the D905 era engine. Engine Oil Filter W21ESO1600 (and the alternate 16271-32092 and 1627132090 aftermarket revisions) is the primary spin-on lube filter that fits the KX41-2 across the production run.

Cooling system service uses Thermostat 15321-73010 as the most commonly ordered service item. Internal engine service uses Stud 16241-91490 (head stud common service item). Many of these internal engine parts cross to the KX61-2 (mid-90s K Series 2.5-ton sibling) and to the original KX41 first generation because both share the D905 engine family.
