Fitting Fitment and Compatibility

Most of what sits on this page is grease fittings, also called zerks or grease nipples, rather than hydraulic plumbing. Pressure fittings, adapters, and tube connections for the hydraulic circuit itself are on the hydraulic system parts page. Common replacements include the grease fittings replacing OEM 10H25, 11H15, 10H35, 7311865, 7177516, and 6655752, the grease nipple replacing Hyundai S651-810002, the elbow fitting replacing OEM 17KB0808, the barbed elbow replacing OEM 7265203, the adapter replacing OEM 6734090, the detent ball replacing OEM 6592105, and the Woodruff keys replacing OEM 6J1664 and 6634899.

Grease fittings come in straight, forty-five degree, and ninety degree bodies, and the angle is not cosmetic. It exists so a grease gun coupler can actually seat squarely on a fitting buried behind a linkage or a guard. If a fitting is difficult to reach on your machine, the angled version of the same thread is usually what the machine was meant to have.

Types of Replacement Fittings

Grease fittings feed the pins, bushings, and pivots that carry the machine's working loads, and they are the cheapest part on any lubrication schedule. When a joint refuses to take grease, the fitting itself is the first suspect rather than the joint. A zerk with a seized ball or a blocked passage looks perfectly normal from outside and will pass no grease at all, so replacing the fitting costs very little and rules out the expensive explanation before anyone starts pulling a pin.

Hose and tube fittings cover barbed elbows and adapters used on low pressure lines. Keys and detents cover Woodruff keys, which lock a pulley or gear to its shaft, and detent balls, which hold a control in a selected position. Both are small parts whose absence produces symptoms far larger than their size suggests.
