Engine Oil Filter Fitment and Compatibility

Oil filters match to the engine, so the OEM number on your old filter identifies the replacement regardless of which machine the engine sits in. Common filters fit Bobcat loaders, including the engine oil filters that replace OEM 6675517, 6678233, and 6671057 across the Kubota-built engine families Bobcat uses. Coverage runs deepest for Ford tractor engines, Kubota diesels, and New Holland equipment.

Thread size, gasket diameter, and bypass valve rating all ride on that OEM number, which is why matching by number beats matching by appearance. One filter frequently serves a whole engine family, so the cross reference list on each product page is the quickest confirmation for your machine.

Types of Replacement Oil Filters

Spin-on filters are the standard on most diesel equipment and change with a wrench in minutes. Cartridge filters drop a replaceable element into a permanent housing and are common on older tractors and some current compact engines, trading a messier change for less discarded steel. Both styles carry anti-drainback valves on engines that need oil held at the filter head between starts.

Oil filters change with every oil service, typically every 250 hours on working diesel equipment or annually for machines with light hours. The filter is the cheapest component in the lubrication system, which is why doubling its interval to save a few dollars is the falsest economy in equipment maintenance.
