Clamp Fitment and Compatibility

Clamps are inexpensive parts holding expensive things in place, which is why the right one matters more than its price suggests. Common replacements include the clamp for loaders replacing OEM 6717951, the boom cylinder shield clamp replacing OEM 7165965, the SCR band clamp replacing OEM 7509455, the full circle clamp replacing OEM 6677363, the strap replacing OEM 6678668, and the clamp replacing OEM 6684889.

Diameter and style both matter. A worm-drive hose clamp and a full circle clamp are not substitutes: the full circle version distributes load evenly around the tube and is used where a worm drive would deform or cut the hose over time.

Types of Replacement Clamps

Hose clamps secure fuel, coolant, and low-pressure lines and are sized by the diameter range they close over. Full circle clamps wrap the complete circumference for even pressure on softer lines. Band clamps join exhaust and aftertreatment sections, where SCR-equipped machines need the correct band to seal a joint that sees real heat cycling. Shield and structural clamps hold guards, hoses, and harnesses away from moving or hot components, and a missing one is usually the reason a hose chafed through in the first place.

When a hose fails from rubbing, replace the clamp or guide that was supposed to keep it clear. Fitting a new hose to the same unsupported route just restarts the clock.
