The F2560E is the legacy entry point of Kubota's commercial F Series front mount diesel mower lineup, produced from 1997 through 2005 and replaced in succession by the F2680E (2008-2013) at the same 25 to 25.5 horsepower band. The F2560E specifically uses the 1.122 liter Kubota three cylinder diesel rated at 25 horsepower and was offered with two front mount deck sizes: 60 inch and 72 inch. The base machine sold for residential premium / commercial entry duty cycles, with deployment patterns dominated by municipal grounds maintenance, landscape contractor route work, and golf course rough mowing applications. Operating weight is approximately 1,290 lbs which keeps the machine light enough for trailer transport behind a half ton pickup truck and for operation on softer turf without rutting.
Engine and fuel system service parts on the F2560E share heavily with the F2680E successor and several Kubota BX Series sub compact tractors and ZD Series zero turn mowers because all of these machines run engines from the same Kubota Super Mini three cylinder diesel family. Deck specific service parts (blades, spindle bearings, drive belts) are dimension specific to the 60 or 72 inch deck installed on the machine and do not interchange between the two deck sizes.
Fuel system service is the leading category for the F2560E because the small displacement diesel engine in commercial mowing duty cycles drives frequent fuel filter changes.
