Wiper Part Fitment and Compatibility

Wiper parts have to agree with each other more than they have to agree with the machine: the arm has to match the motor's output spline, and the blade has to match the arm's fitting. Equipment wiper arms look much like automotive ones and are not interchangeable with them. Common replacements include the arm and blade pairs replacing OEM 7188371 with 7188372 and OEM 7251263 with 7251264, the wiper blade replacing OEM 7168954, the wiper motor replacing OEM 7234174, the 28 inch blade replacing John Deere TY24971, the wiper arm replacing Case 87319294 for C and D Series machines, the wiper arm replacing Kawasaki 30035-60060, the washer pump coupler replacing OEM 6675298, and the window washer tank replacing OEM 7133211.

Types of Replacement Wiper Parts

Wiper motors and linkages drive the sweep. A motor that runs audibly but moves nothing is usually a failed linkage or a stripped output spline rather than a dead motor, and that is worth checking before ordering, because the two repairs are priced very differently.

Arms and blades wear as a pair. Blade length follows the curvature and size of the glass rather than any standard, so order by the OEM number for the machine rather than by measuring an old blade that may itself be the wrong one. Washer components cover pumps, couplers, and tanks. The coupler is small and inexpensive and is the usual reason a washer pump can be heard running while nothing reaches the glass.

Running a wiper on dry, dusty glass destroys the blade edge in minutes and puts fine scratches into the glass that never come out. A working washer system is what protects both.
