Pump Fitment and Compatibility

Pumps in this category serve the fuel system, and they match to the engine rather than the machine badge, which is why one Kubota fuel pump assembly can serve a Kubota tractor and a Kubota-powered Bobcat loader. Common replacements include the fuel pump replacing Bobcat OEM 7012873, the quarter-inch fuel primer pump replacing Bobcat OEM 6657734, and the Kubota fuel pump assemblies replacing OEM EG601-52034, EG601-52033, and EG601-52032.

Those three adjacent Kubota numbers are a good reminder to order by the exact digits. They serve related but distinct engine configurations, and the last character is doing real work in the fitment.

Types of Replacement Pumps

Electric fuel pumps lift fuel from the tank and carry a pressure and flow rating the engine expects. Mechanical primer pumps, often hand-operated, purge air after a filter change and are the part people discover exists only when the machine will not start afterward. Fuel pump assemblies bundle the pump with its mounting and connections for a complete replacement.

A machine that starts and dies, will not prime after a fuel filter service, or loses power under sustained load is telling you to look at fuel delivery. Because these parts sit downstream of the filters, replacing a pump without also servicing the filters usually invites the same failure back.
