Hydraulic Coupler Fitment and Compatibility

Auxiliary hydraulic couplers connect your loader's front circuit to attachments, and the male and female halves must match in both size and series. Common replacements fit Bobcat loaders, including the female flat faced couplers that replace OEM 7246793, 7246776, and 7246792 across common line sizes. Flat face couplers are the modern standard on skid steers because they connect cleanly under residual pressure and spill almost nothing at disconnect.

Match a coupler by its OEM number when you have it, or by measuring the body size and thread of the port it screws into. Mixing coupler series between the machine side and attachment side is the usual cause of couplers that click together but will not flow, so replace in matched pairs when converting or when one half shows wear.

Types of Replacement Hydraulic Couplers

Female couplers typically live on the machine side of the circuit and take the brunt of jobsite grit, which makes them the more frequently replaced half. Male couplers ride on the attachment side. Both halves come in multiple flow sizes, and the stamped OEM number or the port thread identifies which your machine runs.

Weeping at the faces, difficulty connecting under pressure, and checked or torn seals are the usual replacement triggers. A worn coupler bleeds flow that shows up as a slow attachment, so a pair of couplers is often the cheapest fix for sluggish auxiliary hydraulics.
