Fuel Filter Fitment and Compatibility

Fuel filters match to the engine rather than the machine model, so the OEM number printed on your old filter is the fastest route to the right replacement. Common filters include the fuel filter with water separator that replaces Bobcat OEM 6667352, standard on many Bobcat loaders with Kubota-built engines, and the inline filter that replaces Bobcat OEM 7380039. Coverage runs deepest for Ford and Massey Ferguson tractor engines, Bobcat loaders, and New Holland and International equipment.

One engine family often spans many machine models, which is why a single filter can list a dozen applications. Check the product page cross references against your engine model or your old filter's number, and when in doubt send your machine model and serial number to our team for confirmation.

Types of Replacement Fuel Filters

Spin-on fuel filters thread onto a filter head like an oil filter and are the standard fitment on most modern diesel equipment. Cartridge filters drop an element into a reusable housing and are common on older tractors and compact engines. Water separator filters add a settling bowl that pulls water out of the fuel before it reaches the injection system, which matters on any machine that sits between uses, since condensation in the tank is the main source of water in diesel.

Hard starting, power loss under load, and surging at working RPM are the classic symptoms of a restricted fuel filter. Diesel injection systems are unforgiving of contamination, so fuel filters carry the shortest service intervals in the engine bay, typically every 250 to 500 hours depending on the engine.
