Kubota Engine Oil Filter Fitment and Compatibility

Kubota engine oil filters are spin on cartridge style across nearly all current production engines. The same physical filter is reused across multiple displacement variants within an engine series, which is why a single Kubota oil filter part number frequently lists 30 or more compatible engine models. The HH150-32094 / HH1J0-32430 family fits the 03 Series small displacement diesels (D722, D902, D905) used in BX sub compact tractors, ZD zero turn mowers, and the smaller RTV utility vehicles. The 16271-32090 / 16271-32092 / 1521332091 family fits the 05 Series mid displacement diesels (D1105, D1305, D1503, V1505, V2003, V2203, V2403) used in the L Series, B Series, KX excavators, SVL track loaders, SSV skid steers, and many JLG, Skyjack, Genie, and Multiquip OEM applications. The 1521332091 / 1521332090 specifically also lists older KH14, KH15, L175, L185, and L185DT applications.

The HH164-32430 / W21ESO1600 family covers the 07 Series and larger 09 Series diesels used in the larger M Series tractors and full size industrial applications. Spin on filter E719432110 / 7000036160 is used on the older D7100D, D750A, G20F, G23F, and GH680 engines that powered Kubota generators and select compact construction machines through the 1990s and early 2000s. Filter cartridges 7000014653, 7000014672, 7000014673, 7000014690, 1562832400, and 1590632090 cover specific OEM industrial applications where Kubota supplied a non standard filter housing.

Kubota Engine Oil Filter Construction and Service Notes

Genuine Kubota oil filters use synthetic fiber media for high efficiency filtration in the typical 25 to 30 micron range, with a large filtration area to support extended service intervals. They include a built in pressure release bypass valve that allows oil to flow around the filter element if the media becomes plugged with contaminants, ensuring the engine receives lubrication even when the filter is past its service life. Quality aftermarket replacements from Donaldson, Baldwin, Fleetguard, Hifi Filter, and other reputable manufacturers use the same media specification, the same anti drainback valve design, and the same threaded mount to match Kubota's flow rate and bypass pressure requirements.

Kubota's recommended oil filter replacement interval is every 200 hours of operation or once per year, whichever comes first, on most current production engines. The first oil filter change on a new engine is at 50 hours, then settles into the 200 hour rhythm. On older 03 Series engines (D722, D902) used in residential mowers and sub compact tractors, the recommended interval can be as short as 50 to 100 hours depending on the operating environment. Operating in dusty conditions, severe duty applications, or with extended cold start cycles shortens the interval further. Always check the operator manual for your specific engine model.
