Aftermarket replacement engine oil filters for John Deere backhoe loaders, skid steer loaders, compact track loaders, compact tractors, and construction equipment. Spin-on filter replacements for a wide range of engine families.
Use filters or search by OEM part number to find the right engine oil filter for your machine. Service interval details are listed on each product page.
John Deere engine oil filters are specified by engine family, not by machine model. The same filter can fit dozens of machines if they share an engine. Filter M801002 covers a common compact tractor engine platform, while AM39687 and MIU800650 fit sub-compact, Gator, and lawn tractor engines. Large agricultural and construction engines use different filters like HE1220800, HE1220323, and HE1220445.
John Deere recommends oil and filter changes at 100 operating hours for most construction equipment, 50 hours for lawn and garden equipment, and 250 hours for larger ag tractors with the standard service interval. Running synthetic oil can extend these intervals, but John Deere still recommends changing the filter at every oil change regardless of oil type.
Always cross-reference by OEM part number on the product page, since a single machine model may have had different engine options across its production run. Replacing an engine oil filter with the wrong bypass rating or thread pitch can cause oil pressure issues or leaks.
Aftermarket engine oil filters are built to OEM specifications for filtration rating, bypass pressure, and mounting dimensions. Bypass rating matters because a filter with the wrong spring rate will either let unfiltered oil through too easily or restrict flow during cold starts. Our aftermarket filters match the OEM bypass pressure for each application.
Anti-drain-back valves keep oil in the filter when the engine shuts off, so the engine has immediate oil pressure on the next startup. This matters more on horizontal-mount filters and on engines that sit for long periods between uses.
Most John Deere engine oil filters are standard spin-on cartridges that require no special tools to change. Use a filter wrench or a strap wrench for removal if the filter is seized. Apply a thin film of clean engine oil to the new filter gasket before installation, and tighten by hand to three-quarters of a turn past gasket contact.
