Equipment Belt Fitment and Compatibility

Belts are matched by profile and effective length, both of which the OEM part number encodes, so the number on your old belt or in the parts diagram is the reliable route. Common belts fit Bobcat loaders, including the combined A/C and alternator belt that replaces OEM 7177784 and the fan belt that replaces OEM 7010894. Kubota engine belts cover many compact tractors and the Kubota-powered loaders that share those engines.

A belt that is close but not exact will either slip or ride wrong in the pulley groove, and both destroy the belt early. When the number is unreadable, match the old belt's top width, profile, and outside length against the product specifications rather than eyeballing it.

Types of Replacement Equipment Belts

Fan belts drive the cooling fan and water pump, and a failure overheats the engine within minutes, which makes them the belt most worth carrying as a spare. Alternator belts keep the charging system alive, and combined accessory belts run A/C compressors and alternators from one loop on tighter engine bays. Belt shields, like the Bobcat replacement for OEM 7183697, protect the belt run from debris and are worth replacing when cracked, since a shield is cheaper than the belts it protects.

Glazing, cracking across the ribs, and squeal at cold start are the standard replacement signs. Belts stretch slowly through their life, so tension should be rechecked shortly after fitting a new one.
