Drive Belt Fitment and Compatibility

Drive belts sit between the engine and the hydrostatic pumps, which makes them a different part from the accessory belts that run the alternator and A/C. Common replacements here include the drive belts replacing OEM 6684749, 7257359, 6660766, and 6660345, and the drive pump belts replacing OEM 6736775 and 7188792.

Because these belts carry the machine's full drive load, length and profile tolerance is tighter than on accessory belts. A close-but-not-exact belt will slip under load, and a slipping drive belt turns into a machine that moves fine cold and loses drive once everything warms up. Order by OEM number rather than by measurement where you can.

Types of Replacement Drive Belts

Drive belts connect the engine to the pump drive and carry continuous load. Drive pump belts serve the same path on designs that use a separate pump belt arrangement. Profile designations like 3/V2 describe the belt's cross-section and groove count, and they must match the pulley, not just the length.

Glazed sidewalls, cracking across the ribs, and black dust around the pulleys are the wear signs. A drive belt failure strands the machine where an accessory belt failure only sidelines a system, so this is the belt worth replacing on schedule rather than on symptom.
