Equipment Hose Fitment and Compatibility

Hoses divide into two ordering styles, and knowing which you need saves a return. Bulk hose is sold by the foot and cut to your length, which suits fuel and tank lines where routing varies. Pre-formed tubes and assemblies are bent and fitted at the factory for a specific machine, so those match by OEM number only. Common replacements here include the fuel hose sold by the foot replacing OEM 6576386, the fuel tank hose replacing OEM 6569752, the pre-formed fuel tube for loaders replacing OEM 7238155, and the high flow hydraulic hose replacing OEM 7115278.

For bulk hose, measure inside diameter rather than outside, and match the pressure rating to the circuit. A fuel-rated line is not a hydraulic line, and using one where the other belongs is the failure that ends with fluid on the ground.

Types of Replacement Hose

Fuel hose carries low-pressure fuel from tank to filter to pump, and its inner liner has to be rated for diesel to avoid swelling. Hydraulic hose carries working pressure and is rated in wire-braid layers, with high-flow circuits demanding the higher rating. Pre-formed tubes replace bends that bulk hose cannot hold. Hose guides and clamps, like the guide replacing OEM 7161953, keep lines off hot and sharp surfaces, which is where most premature hose failures actually begin.

Cracking at the ends, weeping at fittings, and soft spots under pressure are the standard replacement signs. Hose is cheap relative to the downtime a burst line causes on a working machine.
