The machines on this page stop in fundamentally different ways, and establishing which one you have comes before any part number. A skid steer stops hydrostatically: returning the drive controls to neutral stops the machine, and its brake is a spring-applied parking and traction lock rather than a service brake used while driving. Utility vehicles and forklifts have conventional friction brakes with pads, cylinders, and hydraulic lines. Pads for a utility vehicle and a traction lock wedge for a loader both appear under brakes, and neither will do anything for the other machine. Confirm the machine type first, then match the OEM number.
Friction components cover pad kits, which are sold in sets so both sides of an axle are replaced together. Replacing one side alone produces uneven braking that pulls, and on a small machine that pull is felt immediately.
Hydraulic components cover master cylinders and the lines and seals that feed them. A pedal that sinks slowly under steady foot pressure points at the master cylinder rather than at the pads, because pads do not leak. Parking and traction lock components cover wedges, block guides, return springs, and cables. On a loader, a parking brake that will not release cleanly is usually the cable or the return spring rather than the mechanism it operates.
