Isuzu industrial diesels power excavators and loaders from Hitachi, Komatsu and Takeuchi, forklifts from Hyster and Clark, and a number of Bobcat and Kubota machines. The engine families covered here include the 4JB1, 4JC1 and 4JG1, the B series (4BB1, 4BD1, 4BJ1 and the six cylinder 6BB1), the 4FE1, and the C series engines common in forklifts such as the C221, C240 and C330.

Many Isuzu engines were built in several versions for different equipment makers, and the filter can change between them. The engine model and serial number are on the plate on the engine block. Types of Replacement Filters for Isuzu Engines

Air filters make up most of this range, since excavators, loaders and forklifts all work in dust that shortens engine life when the intake filter is neglected. Common replacements include the outer air filter that replaces Bobcat 6598492 and the air filter that replaces Takeuchi 1654699204. Machines with a two stage air cleaner use an inner safety element as well, replaced less often than the outer element.

Fuel filters and engine oil filters complete the routine service set. On forklifts that run indoors and out, the fuel filter also protects against condensation in the tank. The fuel filter with water separator that replaces Bobcat 6667352 is a common replacement for Isuzu powered machines.
